Sensex up 382pts; NTPC, Rel Comm zoom 6%

The Sensex is now up 382 points at 17,710.

All index stocks are in positive zone.

NTPC has zoomed 6.3% to Rs 219. Reliance Communications has soared 5.7% to Rs 647.

ONGC has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,034. Satyam has moved up 2.8% to Rs 455.

Reliance Energy, Infosys and Grasim have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 1,383, Rs 1,940 and Rs 3,685, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank, TCS and Bharti Airtel have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,873, Rs 1,080, Rs 1,060 and Rs 961, respectively.

Reliance, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors and ACC are up nearly 2% each at Rs 2,332, Rs 1,430, Rs 787 and Rs 1,231, respectively.
