Sensex up 38pts; breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is now up 38 points at 12,743.

Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank have rallied around 3% each to Rs 491 and Rs 847, respectively.

ITC has surged 2% to Rs 144. HLL and Hero Honda have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 187 and Rs 646, respectively.

HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,547.

Out of 2,277 stocks traded so far, 1,145 have declined, 1,032 have advanced and 100 are unchanged.
