Sensex up 38pts; Guj Amb plunges 5%

The Sensex slipped into the negative zone to a low of 12,922, but soon rebounded and is now up 38 points at 12,976.

Satyam, HDFC Bank and Wipro have advanced around 3.5% each to Rs 428, Rs 965 and Rs 580, respectively.

TCS and Maruti have rallied over 3% each to Rs 1,226 and Rs 865, respectively. Tata Motors has gained 2.5% at Rs 804.

Tata Steel and Reliance Communications are up around 2% each at Rs 451 and Rs 416, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has slumped 5% to Rs 110. Hindalco has shed 3% to Rs 135, and Grasim has slipped 2.7% to Rs 2,154.

Dr.Reddy's has tumbled over 2% to Rs 662. BHEL, Hero Honda, Bharti Airtel and SBI are the other major losers.
