Sensex up 38pts; mkt breadth still weak

The Sensex is now up 38 points at 10,080.

ITC has surged almost 5% to Rs 174. HDFC has zoomed 4% to Rs 1,088.

Reliance Communications has dropped 5.5% to Rs 228. Reliance Energy has shed 3% to Rs 433.

BHEL and Cipla are down over 2.5% each to Rs 1,785 and Rs 212, respectively.

Out of 2,347 stocks traded so far, 1,710 have declined, 588 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
