Sensex up 38pts; NTPC, Bharti shine

The Sensex is now up 38 points at 13,742.

NTPC and Bharti Airtel have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 154 and Rs 631, respectively.

ITC and Larsen & Toubro have gained 1% each at Rs 181 and Rs 1,400, respectively.

Tata Steel, Hero Honda and HDFC Bank are the other prominent gainers.

Wipro has slipped over 1% to Rs 583.
