Sensex up 38pts; Tata Steel up 2%

The Sensex is now up 38 points at 13,719.

NTPC has soared 4% to Rs 147. Tata Steel has surged 2% to Rs 480.

HLL and Hindalco have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 245 and Rs 178, respectively. Dr.Reddy's has added 1.5% to Rs 748.

ONGC has gained 1.3% at Rs 856. Cipla and BHEL are up over 1% each at Rs 263 and Rs 2,546, respectively.

Out of 2,485 stocks traded so far, 1,417 have advanced, 987 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
