Sensex up 39pts at 11,125

The Sensex is now up 39 points at 11,125.

Ranbaxy has gained 3% at Rs 410.

Hindalco, Infosys and Satyam have advanced 2% each to Rs 176, Rs 3,016 and Rs 837, respectively.

Wipro has added 1.7% to Rs 538, and BHEL is up 1% at Rs 2,133.

ACC has slipped 1.2% to Rs 770.

Tata Power, Hero Honda and HDFC are the other notable losers among the Sensex stocks.

Out of 2,440 stocks traded so far, 1,555 have advanced, 833 have declined and 52 are unchanged.

Reliance Communication Ventures continues to lead the value chart with a turnover of Rs 69.86 crore followed by McDowell (Rs 57.62 crore), Ranbaxy (Rs 56 crore), Infosys (Rs 49.90 crore) and Nitco Tiles (Rs 43.62 crore).

Reliance Natural Resources tops the volume chart with trades of around 1.30 crore shares followed by SAIL (49.83 lakh), Himachal Futuristic (36.28 lakh), Reliance Energy Ventures (33.13 lakh) and Triveni Engineering (28.26 lakh).
