Sensex up 39pts; Hindalco, Grasim drop

The Sensex is now up 39 points at 13,112.

Satyam has gained nearly 3% at Rs 427. ICICI Bank, HLL and ONGC have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 797, Rs 251 and Rs 870, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,017 and Rs 985, respectively.

Cipla and ITC are the other major gainers.

Maruti has slipped over 3% to Rs 908. Hindalco and Grasim have extended losses and are now down 2.8% each to Rs 183 and Rs 2,688, respectively.

HDFC has declined 1.4% to Rs 1,500.
Out of 2,543 stocks traded so far, 1,524 have advanced, 915 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
