Sensex up 39pts; Satyam, Reliance shine

The Sensex is now up 39 points at 12,213.

Satyam has spurted over 1% to Rs 838. Reliance, Bajaj Auto and HDFC have gained 1% each at Rs 1,176, Rs 2,896 and Rs 1,405, respectively.

Tata Motors, Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro are the other prominent gainers.

ITC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 182. Bharti Airtel is down 1% at Rs 470.

Out of 2,147 stocks traded so far, 1,304 have advanced, 779 have declined and 64 are unchanged.
