Sensex up 40pts; market breadth still -ve

The Sensex is now up 40 points 12,010.

Reliance Communications has rallied 3% to Rs 341. HDFC and NTPC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,365 and Rs 129, respectively.

Out of 2,500 stocks traded so far, 1,343 have declined, 1,073 have advanced and 84 are unchanged.
