Sensex up 40pts; Satyam spurts

The Sensex is now up 40 points at 12,214.

Satyam has spurted 1.6% to Rs 841. Larsen & Toubro has moved up over 1% to Rs 2,642.

Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Infosys, Grasim, NTPC, Reliance and TCS are the other smart gainers.

Bharti Airtel has slipped 1% to Rs 470.
