Sensex up 41pts

The Sensex is on a firm footing in morning deals, and is now up 41 points at 8,422.

ITC has advanced 2.5% (Rs 46) to Rs 1,924. ONGC is up Rs 4 at Rs 1,025. SBI is up Rs 2 at Rs 903. Reliance has declined Rs 4 to Rs 761.

Infosys is down Rs 2 at Rs 2,447. Satyam and TCS are also weak.

HDFC Bank has moved up over 2% (Rs 16) to Rs 705. Dr. Reddy's is up 1.5% (Rs 12) at Rs 813.

Auto scrips are trading with gains.

HDFC has declined Rs 10 to Rs 1,054.
