Sensex up 41pts; breadth turns positive

The Sensex is now up 41 points at 12,394.

HDFC has surged 2.4% to Rs 1,475. Reliance is up 1% at Rs 1,155.

TCS and Infosys have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,060 and Rs 2,010, respectively. Wipro has added 1.3% to Rs 536.

Grasim and Reliance Energy have gained 1.3% each at Rs 2,606 and Rs 466, respectively. Reliance Communications has is up 1% to Rs 341.

Maruti, Tata Steel and Dr.Reddy's are the other prominent gainers.

HLL has slipped 1% to Rs 233. ITC and HDFC Bank are the other prominent losers.

The market breadth has turned positive - out of 2,375 stocks traded so far, 1,250 have advanced, 1,062 have advanced and 63 are unchanged.
