Sensex up 41pts; L&T gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 12 points 11,982.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced 2% to Rs 2,695. Reliance Communications has added 1.7% to Rs 337.

Maruti is up over 1% at Rs 928. Satyam, Tata Motors and Tata Steel are the other smart gainers.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1% to Rs 640.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,962 stocks traded so far, 1,053 have advanced, 845 have declined and the rest are unchanged today.
