Sensex up 421pts; Rel Comm zooms 7%

The Sensex is now up 421 points at 19,137.

Reliance Communications has zoomed 7% to Rs 789.

TCS, ONGC, Reliance Energy and Ranbaxy have soared 4% each to Rs 1,142, Rs 1,176, Rs 1,833 and Rs 437, respectively.

Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and Hindalco have surged 3.7% each to Rs 901, Rs 3,414 and Rs 205, respectively.

NTPC, Reliance and Cipla have rallied 3% each to Rs 228, Rs 2,772 and Rs 185, respectively.

BHEL and Hindustan Unilever have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 2,340 and Rs 214, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, HDFC, Satyam and Infosys are up around 2% each at Rs 620, Rs 2,517, Rs 466 and Rs 1,925, respectively.

ICICI Bank has dropped 2% to Rs 1,095.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,573 stocks traded so far, 1,997 have advanced, 523 have declined and 53  are unchanged.
