Sensex up 426pts; ITC, Hind Unilever weak

The Sensex is now up 426 points at 19,197.

Larsen & Toubro has zoomed nearly 11% to Rs 3,830. SBI has soared 5.3% to Rs 2,049.

BHEL has surged over 4% to Rs 2,385. Mahindra & Mahindra and NTPC have rallied over 3% each to Rs 797 and Rs 230, respectively.

Satyam has moved up 2.6% to Rs 472. HDFC, Maruti and ONGC have added 2.3% each to Rs 2,585, Rs 1,185 and Rs 1,139, respectively.

Reliance and TCS are up nearly 2% each at Rs 2,678 and Rs 1,070, respectively.

ACC, Reliance Communications and Tata Motors are the other major gainers.

Dr.Reddy's, Hindustan Unilever and ITC are down around 1.5% each at Rs 606, Rs 217 and Rs 180, respectively.

Out of 2,779 stocks traded so far, 1,715 have advanced, 977 have declined and 87 are unchanged.
