Sensex up 42pts; BHEL, Tata Steel firm

The Sensex is now up 42 points at 13,232.

Tata Steel has surged 3.3% to Rs 512. BHEL has gained 2% at Rs 2,515.

Bharti Airtel has advanced 1.5% to Rs 776. Hindalco, Cipla, ONGC and Reliance are up around 1% each at Rs 138, Rs Rs 236, Rs 884 and Rs 1,396, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has shed 2.5% to Rs 702. HLL, ACC and Ranbaxy are down around 1.5% each to Rs 205, Rs 735 and Rs 353, respectively.

Out of 2,570 stocks traded so far, 1,604 have advanced, 899 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
