Sensex up 439pts; Bharti Airtel zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 439 points at 15,782.

The NSE Nifty is up 131 points at 4,778.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 830, and Ranbaxy has soared 5.5% to Rs 483.

ICICI Bank, ITC and Wipro have surged over 5% each to Rs 804, Rs 211 and Rs 437, respectively.

TCS and SBI have rallied 5% each to Rs 914 and Rs 1,685, respectively. Hindustan Unilever has gained 4% at Rs 251.

Reliance has moved up 3.7% to Rs 2,408. ONGC and Jaiprakash Associates have added 3.3% each to Rs 1,040 and Rs 229, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 1.6% to Rs 752, and BHEL has declined 1.3% to Rs 1,614.

Out of 2,474 stocks traded so far, 1,371 have advanced, 1,034 have declined and 69 are unchanged.
