Sensex up 43pts; REL surges 3%

The Sensex is up 43 points at 13,181.

Reliance Energy has surged 2.8% to Rs 527. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have rallied around 1.5% each to Rs 1,034 and Rs 811, respectively.

BHEL and Hindalco have gained 1% each at Rs 2,410 and Rs 185, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Hero Honda are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC has slipped nearly 1% to Rs 1,490.
