Sensex up 43pts; Satyam soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 43 points at 15,742.

Satyam has soared 3.6% to Rs 505. Maruti and Cipla have surged 3% each to Rs 834 and Rs 192, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 2,397 and Rs 795, respectively. Tata Motors has gained 1.5% at Rs 737.

Infosys, Reliance, Ranbaxy and Reliance Energy are up over 1% each at Rs 2,015, Rs 1,927, Rs 345 and Rs 787, respectively.

HDFC Bank has shed 2.3% to Rs 1,213. Bharti Airtel and ACC have slipped nearly 1.5% each to Rs 933 and Rs 1,056, respectively.

BHEL, Grasim and ITC are down over 1% each to Rs 1,769, Rs 2,935 and Rs 164, respectively.
