Sensex up 444pts; breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 444 points at 11,755.

Satyam has zoomed nearly 12% to Rs 301.

Reliance Infrastructure, Jaiprakash Associates and Wipro have soared over 7.5% each to Rs 648, Rs 87 and Rs 305, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Tata Power have rallied around 7% each to Rs 456 and Rs 844, respectively.

DLF has surged 6.6% to Rs 321. Larsen & Toubro has added 6% to Rs 1,048.

Reliance, Infosys, Reliance Communications and TCS have advanced around 5.5% each to Rs 1,659, Rs 1,393, Rs 298 and Rs 608, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Tata Steel and HDFC are up 5.3% each at 289, Rs 321 and Rs 1,914, respectively.

 

Mahindra & Mahindra and ONGC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 508 and Rs 896, respectively.

NTPC and Hindalco are down over 1% each at Rs 177 and Rs 88, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,462 stocks traded so far, 1,888 have advanced, 520 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
