Sensex up 44pts; Dr.Reddy's, Ranbaxy move up

The Sensex is now up 44 points at 12,116.

Satyam has spurted over 2% to Rs 841. Dr.Reddy's has gained 1.8% at Rs 768.

Reliance Communications, Hindalco and Ranbaxy have advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 332, Rs 171 and Rs 424, respectively.

Tata Steel is up over 1% at Rs 504.

HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,351.

Out of 2,335 stocks traded so far, 1,229 have advanced, 1,007 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
