Sensex up 44pts; REL drops 3.5%

The Sensex is now up 44 points at 11,492.

Reliance Communications and Tata Motors have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 292 and Rs 836, respectively.

Reliance and Dr.Reddy's have moved up over 2% each to Rs 1,068 and Rs 1,482, respectively.

HLL has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 235. BHEL and Maruti are up over 1% each at Rs 2,270 and Rs 822, respectively.

Reliance Energy (REL) has dropped 3.5% to Rs 463. Tata Steel, ONGC and Hindalco have slipped 2% each to Rs 522, Rs 1,214 and Rs 166, respectively.

Hero Honda and TCS are down around 1.5% each at Rs 694 and Rs 959, respectively.

Out of 2,530 stocks traded so far, 1,613 have declined, 863 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
