Sensex up 45pts; HLL gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 45 points at 10,654.

TCS has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,780. Infosys has moved up 1.7% to Rs 3,124, and Satyam has spurted over 1% to Rs 720.

HLL has gained over 2% at Rs 234. Hindalco has added 1.7% to Rs 178.

Maruti, SBI, Bajaj Auto, ITC and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 808, Rs 737, Rs 2,765, Rs 184 and Rs 360, respectively.

Reliance Communications has shed 3% to Rs 241. Grasim has dropped 1.5% to Rs 1,904.

HDFC and Bharti Airtel are down around 1% each at Rs 1,116 and Rs 366, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,001 stocks traded so far, 1,097 have advanced, 837 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
