Sensex up 45pts; TCS rallies 2%

The Sensex is now up 45 points at 14,234.

Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and TCS have surged over 2% each to Rs 456, Rs 822 and Rs 1,310, respectively.

Wipro, Tata Steel and Reliance have gained 1.3% each to Rs 677, Rs 461 and Rs 1,423, respectively.

HLL, ITC and Larsen & Toubro are the other prominent gainers.

SBI, HDFC Bank and Grasim have shed around 2% each to Rs 1,085, Rs 995 and Rs 2,500, respectively.

Ranbaxy has slipped 1.5% to Rs 377. Dr.Reddy's, Hero Honda and ACC are down over 1% each to Rs 722, Rs 732 and Rs 999, respectively.

Out of 2,590 stocks traded so far, 1,463 have declined, 1,046 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
