The Sensex, which is moving in a range between 7,970 and 7,815 levels, is now up 48 points at 7,804. While steep rally continues in select heavyweights, tech and banking stocks are still exhibiting weak trends. The market breadth is positive, with 1,406 gainers against 1,114 losers on the BSE so far. L&T has soared 4.22% (Rs 54) to Rs 1,346. While Tisco has surged 4.60% (Rs 17) to Rs 385, BHEL has scaled up 4.74% (Rs 48) to Rs 1,070. Hindalco has gained 1.69% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,334. HDFC, however, is still trading at lower levels at Rs 917 - down Rs 9. Reliance has moved up nearly 3% (Rs 21) to Rs 735, while Reliance Energy is up 1.64% (Rs 10) at Rs 642. ITC has logged 1.52% gains (Rs 26) to Rs 1,740. ONGC, however, has declined a per cent (Rs 10) to Rs 955. HDFC Bank is up 1.24% (Rs 8) at Rs 684. SBI (down Rs 2 to Rs 810) and ICICI Bank (down Rs 2 to Rs 515) are displaying weak trends. ACC has added 1.67% (Rs 7) to Rs 441. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are up with steady gains at Rs 1,205 and Rs 66, respectively. Infosys has tumbled 1.83% (Rs 42) to Rs 2,315, while Satyam has shed 1.47% (Rs 8) to Rs 536. |
