Sensex up 482pts; JP Associates soars 6%

The Sensex is now up 482 points at 15,771.

The NSE Nifty is up 137 points at 4,747.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has zoomed over 6% to Rs 213. Reliance Energy has soared 5.5% to Rs 1,213.

ICICI Bank, Infosys and Bharti Airtel have surged 5% each to Rs 847, Rs 1,431 and Rs 840, respectively.

DLF has rallied 4.7% to Rs 626, and BHEL has gained 4.3% at Rs 1,952.

Tata Steel and Hindalco have moved up nearly 4% each to Rs 616 and Rs 160, respectively.
