Sensex up 48pts

The Sensex is now up 48 points at 11,953.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced over 4% to Rs 2,570. Reliance Energy has gained 3.7% at Rs 482.

Bharti Airtel has rallied over 2% to Rs 427. Hindalco has moved up 1.7% to Rs 182.

Wipro and Tata Steel are up 1.5% each at Rs 523 and Rs 520, respectively.

ONGC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,210. HLL, HDFC Bank and TCS have declined 1% each to Rs 240, Rs 865 and Rs 997, respecrtively.

Out of 2,600 stocks traded so far, 1,468 have advanced, 1,032 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
