Sensex up 48pts; HDFC Bank slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 48 points at 12,932.

Hero Honda and Larsen & Toubro have rallied over 3% each to Rs 677 and Rs 1,614, respectively. TCS has surged over 2% to Rs 1,227.

Maruti, Wipro, HLL, HDFC and Satyam have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 812, Rs 567, Rs 201, Rs 1,541 and Rs 462, respectively.

Reliance is up 1% at Rs 1,362.

HDFC Bank has shed 2% to Rs 937. Tata Motors has slipped 1.4% to Rs 709.

Bajaj Auto and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 2,437 and Rs 850, respectively.

Out of 2,295 stocks traded so far, 1,399 have advanced, 829 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
