Sensex up 48pts; market breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex is now up 48 points at 10,816.

BHEL has rallied over 2% to Rs 1,958. ONGC, Hindalco and NTPC have moved up over 1.5% each to Rs 1,122, 178 and Rs 116, respectively.

Maruti, Cipla, Larsen & Toubro, Satyam, Tata Motors and Dr.Reddy's are up over 1% each.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 1,764 stocks traded so far, 1,171 have advanced, 535 have declined and 58 are unchanged.
