Sensex up 48pts; Rel Comm up 2%

The Sensex is now up 48 points at 15,664.

ITC, Hindalco and ONGC have surged over 2% each to Rs 178, Rs 158 and Rs 855, respectively.

Reliance Communications has moved up 1.6% to Rs 549. NTPC and ICICI Bank are the other notable gainers.

Cipla has slipped over 1% to Rs 183. Reliance Energy and Tata Motors are the other prominent losers.

Out of 2,714 stocks traded so far, 1,555 have advanced, 1,084 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
