Sensex up 495pts; Rel Comm soars 5%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 253 points at 18,496, and is now up 495 points at 18,738.

The index is now up 331 points at 18,574.

Reliance Communications has soared 5.5% to Rs 645.

Wipro has surged 4% to Rs 455. ONGC has gained 3.5% at Rs 1,080.

Reliance Energy, ICICI Bank and BHEL have rallied over 3% each to Rs 2,080, Rs 1,236 and Rs 2,130, respectively.
