The Sensex continues to move in a range of 9890-9930, and is now up 49 points at 9898. BHEL continues to hold firm its gain of 4.6% at Rs 1,780. Larsen & Toubro is up nearly 2% at Rs 2,140. Hindalco is up 2.6% at Rs 165 and Tata Steel has gained 2.3% at Rs 405. Tata Motors has rallied 3% to Rs 708. Maruti is up 1.5% at Rs 758. HDFC is up 1.7% at Rs 1,340. Tata Power, Wipro, Reliance Energy, HLL, NTPC and Hero Honda have also gained 1% each. Gujarat Ambuja has declined nearly 2% to Rs 89. Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank, Dr.Reddy's and ACC are the other notable losers among the Sensex stocks. Out of 2,554 stocks traded so far, 1,585 have declined, 902 have advanced and the rest are unchanged. Reliance leads the value chart with a turnover of Rs 188.23 crore followed by Suzlon (Rs 137.43 crore), Everest Kanto (Rs 109.16 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 97.26 crore) and SBI (Rs 76.39 crore). GV Films tops the volume chart with trades of around 40.28 lakh shares followed by PBA Infrastructure (31.08 lakh), Everest Kanto (28 lakh), Reliance (26.34 lakh) and Tata Steel (24.18 lakh). |
