Sensex up 49pts; HLL, Guj Ambuja down 2%

The Sensex is now up 49 points at 12,397.

Hindalco has gained 2.5% at Rs 231. Tata Steel has spurted over 1% to Rs 664.

Reliance has added 2% to Rs 1,100. ONGC and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 1,346 and Rs 2,675, respectively.

HLL has dropped over 2% to Rs 286. Gujarat Ambuja, too, has shed 2% to Rs 117.

Out of 2,430 stocks traded so far, 1,434 have advanced, 933 have declined and 63 are unchanged.
