Sensex up 49pts; Tata Motors weak

The Sensex is now up 49 points at 12,059.

HLL and HDFC have rallied over 2.5% each to Rs 250 and Rs 1,365, respectively. Cipla and Reliance Communications have gained 2.3% each at Rs 260 and Rs 325, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has added 1.7% to Rs 2,685. ITC and BHEL have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 185 and Rs 2,303, respectively.

Ranbaxy, SBI and Dr.Reddy's are up over 1% each.

Tata Motors has slipped 1.3% to Rs 858.

Out of 2,470 stocks traded so far, 1,297 have advanced, 1,086 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
