Sensex up 504pts; breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 504 points at 19,539.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed 5.5% to Rs 879. Hindalco has soared 5% to Rs 214.

HDFC has surged 4.4% to Rs 2,702, and HDFC Bank has rallied 4% to Rs 1,640.

ICICI Bank, Tata Steel and BHEL have gained around 3.5% each at Rs 1,219, Rs 862 and Rs 2,871, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Infosys and Tata Motore have advanced over 3% each to Rs 4,505, Rs 1,677 and Rs 712, respectively.

Satyam and Maruti have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 421 and Rs 1,029, respectively. TCS and Wipro have added 2.3% each to Rs 971 and Rs 451, respectively.

ONGC, Reliance and Reliance Communications are up 1.8% each at Rs 1,205, Rs 2,745 and Rs 720, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,399 stocks traded so far, 1,908 have advanced, 444 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
