Sensex up 508pts; Mah & Mah rallies 6%

The Sensex is now up 508 points at 15,342.

The NSE Nifty is up 135 points at 4,668.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has soared 8% to Rs 217. Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 6.5% to Rs 677.

HDFC Bank has zoomed over 6% to Rs 1,308. ICICI Bank and HDFC have rallied around 5.5% each to Rs 810 and Rs 2,325, respectively.

Wipro has moved up 4.8% to Rs 377. Tata Motors, SBI and Satyam have advanced over 4% each to Rs 645, Rs 1,659 and Rs 386, respectively.

BHEL, Larsen & Toubro and Bharti Airtel have gaiend 3.6% each at Rs 1,890, Rs 2,863 and Rs 785, respectively.

Hindalco and ONGC are up 3.3% each at Rs 167 and Rs 1,019, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Reliance Communications have added 3% each to Rs 1,265 and Rs 512, respectively.

Out of 2,389 stocks traded so far, 1,335 have advanced, 990 have declined and 64 are unchanged.
