Sensex up 50pts; fertiliser scrips rally

The Sensex has moved up 50 points to 7,831.

ITC has added Rs 17 to Rs 1,701. HLL and SBI are also trading with gains.

Infosys has moved up over a per cent (Rs 30) to Rs 2,322. TCS is up Rs 14 at Rs 1,341.

Cipla has gained 2.6% (Rs 9) to Rs 259. Ranbaxy and Dr. Reddy's are also in positive zones.

Fertiliser scrips are witnessing buying interest. National Fertilisers has gained 8% to Rs 48. RCF is also up 8% at Rs 44. Indo-Gulf and FACT are also trading at higher levels.

Punjab Alkalies is locked at its 20% upper limit at Rs 116.
