Sensex up 50pts; HLL, Hindalco slip

The Sensex is now up 50 points 12,413.

Infosys has surged 4.3% to Rs 1,988. TCS has rallied 3.5% to Rs 1,047. Satyam and Wipro are up around 2.5% each at Rs 418 and Rs 532, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 958. HDFC has moved up 1.7% to 1,439. Bharti is up 1% at Rs 473.

Gujarat Ambuja has shed 2.7% to Rs 120. HLL, Tata Motors and Hindalco have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 235, Rs 897 and Rs 173, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped over 1% to Rs 742. Larsen & Toubro and Maruti are the other significant losers.

Out of 2,503 stocks traded so far, 1,426 have declined, 1,008 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
