Sensex up 50pts; REL, ICICI lead

The Sensex is now up 50 points at 12,756.

Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank have rallied around 3% each to Rs 491 and Rs 847, respectively.

Hero Honda has advanced 1.5% to Rs 645, and ITC has added 1.3% to Rs 143.

BHEL, HLL, Tata Steel and SBI are up 1% each at Rs 2,067, Rs 186, Rs 428 and Rs 962, respectively.

HDFC and Satyam are down 1% each at Rs 1,550 and Rs 441, respectively.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,087 stocks traded so far, 1,026 have declined, 969 have advanced and 92 are unchanged.
