Sensex up 50pts; TCS, Reliance move up

The Sensex is now up 50 points at 11,944.

Grasim and Dr.Reddy's have surged nearly 3% each to Rs 2,394 and Rs 757, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has advanced 1.7% to Rs 115. Satyam, ACC and ICICI Bank have added 1.5% each to Rs 815, Rs 946 and Rs 640, respectively.

TCS and Reliance have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,011 and Rs 416, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped 2.3% to Rs 761. HDFC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 1,332.

HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications are down 1.3% each at Rs 862 and Rs 320, respectively.

Out of 2,487 stocks traded so far, 1,253 have declined, 1,146 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
