Sensex up 50pts; tech stocks rally

The Sensex is now up 50 points at 15,800.

The NSE Nifty is up 17 points at 4,771.

Wipro has soared 4.5% to Rs 433. Infosys and Satyam have surged nearly 2.5% each to Rs 1,518 and Rs 416, respectively. TCS has added 1.5% to Rs 864.

ONGC has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,027. Reliance and Jaiprakash Associated are up 1% each at Rs 2,370 and Rs 235, respectively.

Reliance Energy has plunged 3.7% to Rs 1,184. Maruti has slipped over 2% to Rs 795.

ACC and Cipla have shed 1.7% each at Rs 819 and Rs 216, respectively. Grasim has dropped 1.4% to Rs 2,580.
