Sensex up 518pts; Bharti zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 518 points at 19,553.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed over 6% to Rs 884. ICICI Bank has soared 3.8% to Rs 1,221, and Hindalco has gained 4.3% at Rs 212.

BHEL, HDFC, Infosys, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel have surged around 3.5% each to Rs 2,871, Rs 2,672, Rs 1,685, Rs 4,520 and Rs 862, respectively.

HDFC Bank has rallied 3% to Rs 1,625.

Maruti, ONGC, Reliance, Satyam, Tata Motors, TCS and Wipro are the other major gainers.
