Sensex up 51pts; BHEL soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 51 points at 14,449.

BHEL has soared 3.6% to Rs 2,822. Cipla has surged 3% to Rs 214, and Ranbaxy has added 2% to Rs 390.

Reliance Communications and Reliance Energy have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 519 and Rs 560, respectively. HLL has gained 1.4% at Rs 203.

HDFC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,820.

Out of 2,488 stocks traded so far, 1,328 have advanced, 1,060 have declined and 100 are unchanged.
