Sensex up 51pts; market breadth positive

The Sensex is now up 51 points at 11,956.

Reliance Energy (REL) and Dr.Reddy's have advanced over 2% each to Rs 475 and Rs 745, respectively.

Hindalco has moved up 1.8% to Rs 182. Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have gained nearly 1% each at Rs 519 and Rs 2,489, respectively.

ONGC has slipped 1% to Rs 1,214. HDFC and HDFC Bank are the other notable losers.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,877 stocks traded so far, 1,261 have advanced, 541 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
