Sensex up 51pts, Tata Motors gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 51 points at 12,362.

Tata Motors has zoomed over 2% at Rs 980. Bharti Tele has surged 1.7% to Rs 431.

BHEL, Hindalco, Cipla, Ranbaxy and Reliance are up over 1% each at Rs 2,390, Rs 233, Rs 269, Rs 520 and Rs 1,045, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has dropped 1.7% to Rs 123.80. HDFC has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,281.

The market breadth is extremely positive. Out of 1,628 stocks traded so far, 1,176 have moved up, 421 have declined and 31 are unchanged.
