Sensex up 52pts; HDFC drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 52 points at 12,507.

NTPC has surged 2.5% to Rs 151. BHEL has rallied over 2% to Rs 2,202, and HLL has moved up 1.5% to Rs 199.

Wipro and Infosys have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 525 and Rs 1,947, respectively.

Satyam, Ranbaxy and ITC are up 1% each at Rs 452, Rs 345 and Rs 148, respectively.

HDFC has dropped over 2% to Rs 1,400. Cipla and Bajaj Auto have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 222 and Rs 2,267, respectively.

ACC and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 696 and Rs 797, respectively.
