Sensex up 52pts; Hind Unilever down 2%

The Sensex is now up 52 points at 15,784.

Reliance Energy has zoomed almost 9% to Rs 778. Satyam has soared 5.5% to Rs 519.

BHEL has surged nearly 4% to Rs 1,833, and NTPC has gained 3.5% at Rs 164.

HDFC Bank and Larsen & Toubro have rallied around 2% each to Rs 1,245 and Rs 2,663, respectively.

Hindalco and Infosys are up over 1% each at Rs 187 and Rs 1,967, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have plunged around 3% each to Rs 800 and Rs 747, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has dropped over 2% to Rs 199. Ranbaxy, Maruti, Cipla and ACC have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 345, Rs 821, Rs 189 and Rs 1,124, respectively.

TCS is down 1.3% to Rs 1,175.

Out of 2,725 stocks traded so far, 1,753 have declined, 908 have advanced and 64 are unchanged.
