Sensex up 52pts; Tata Steel gains 2.5%

The Sensex is now up 52 points at 11,584.

SBI has rallied 3.5% to Rs 905.

Tata Steel has surged 2.5% to Rs 531. Hindalco has moved up 1.7% to Rs 171.

HLL, Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto and Reliance are up 1% each at Rs 235, Rs 720, Rs 2,723 and Rs 1,118, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Tata Motors have slipped 1% each to Rs 845 and Rs 852, respectively.

Out of 2,450 stocks traded so far, 1,491 have advanced, 876 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
