Sensex up 53pts; Bajaj Auto, HLL spurt

The Sensex is now up 53 points at 11,585.

SBI has advanced over 3% to Rs 902.

Hindalco has surged 2.8% to Rs 173, and Tata Steel has addd 2.3% to Rs 530.

Bajaj Auto and HLL have spurted over 1.5% each to Rs 2,742 and Rs 235, respectively. Hero Honda is up 1% at Rs 720.

HDFC Bank and Tata Motors have slipped 1% each to Rs 845 and Rs 851, respectively.

Out of 2,465 stocks traded so far, 1,506 have advanced, 880 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
